Celebrating IT - a vision for the future
The theme of this year's VITTA Conference combines the coming-of-age of the information technology industry and the celebration of the tenth anniversary of the Victorian Information Technology Teachers Association. We confront exciting and challenging implications as we explore the way in which information technology impinges on all aspects of our lives. Assisting our students to deal with these issues, to be innovators and leaders in the IT industry and to be competent and effective citizens in an IT-based society, is our responsibility. The diversity of this year's conference program, provides an opportunity for both primary and secondary teachers to explore new boundaries and celebrate IT - a vision for the future! IT Careers Forum What expectations does industry have of our students? What are the career opportunities available? Is there an IT skills shortage? These and other questions will be addressed by industry representatives.
