Vivienne is the CEO of Victorian Schools Innovation Committee (VSIC) and her wealth of knowledge is sure to make for an enlightening address on the future shape education will have in Victoria. more »

Jamie Sharp and Gordon Shukwit
Microsoft's Jamie Sharp and Apple's Gordon Shukwit will present an optional joint keynote address on Wednesday entitled 'Information security - challenges and best practices'. more »

Monday special luncheon
Elliot Goblet

Enjoy the stand-up comedy sensation, Elliot Goblet. Elliot is sure to offer a different twist on all things IT to all those attending the Monday luncheon to be held in the Terrace Restaurant, Level 1 The Hill Stand. In addition, VITTA will proudly announce the winners of the 2004 VITTA Awards. more »

Plenary drinks

Delegates are invited to attend the plenary drinks session beginning at the conclusion of the final session each day. This will take place in the surrounds of the Trade Show Exhibition area ­ The View, Level 4, The Grandstand and will give delegates the chance to catch up with colleagues and unwind with drinks and canapés or peruse the trade show exhibition itself.

Door prize giveaways

Each day, during the plenary drinks session, a major door prize giveaway will take place. All registered delegates will automatically be placed into the draw to win one of the many exciting prizes. Prizes will include the likes of USB memory stick's, educational and private use software, digital camera's and a new laptop! You must be present at the plenary drinks session to collect the prize when the draw takes place.

Special session for teachers of VET IT

VITTA is keen to provide the most appropriate Professional Development possible to assist teachers of VET IT. This informal session is a request for VET teachers to put forward to VITTA the best structure for professional development, and to help VITTA identify the needs of VET teachers. This is an opportunity for the development of closer networks in an informal setting.

Annual General Meeting

An Annual General Meeting of the members of the Victorian Information Technology Teachers Association will take place at 4pm on Tuesday 23 November at the conference venue. Members make sure you are part of the decision making process!

Trade show exhibition

VITTA has invited a selection of companies to exhibit at this year's Trade Show Exhibition. The trade show gives delegates a chance to converse with an expanded range of companies and service providers who will be showcasing cutting-edge products and developments used to assist in our teaching strategies. The Trade Show is located on The View, Level 4, The Grandstand.

New for 2004 - Breakfast and daily plenary drinks

Breakfast, Morning tea, Tuesday and Wednesday lunch and plenary drinks sessions will be held within the surrounds of the Trade Show Exhibition.

Ample parking is available at the venue.

The venue can be reached by public transport, with the closest train station being 'Newmarket'. The tram No. 57 can take you from the station to Gate D.

Shuttle Service

For those reaching Flemington by means other than private transport, a shuttle service will operate between the Gate D entrance and The Grandstand between the hours of 8am and 10am and 4pm and 5pm. The shuttle will run between destinations every 15 minutes.
