What is this online collection? The substantial resources in this online collection represent a decade worth of learning and teaching by Victorian teachers of Information Technology. By agreeing to share our resources and material developed, we become members of a dynamic community of online educators. Such sharing is essential for progress towards our education goals. It may include timelines, lesson plans, question sheets, templates, issue worksheets or classroom activities. Why should we share our work online? It is desirable for us to make the fruits of our teaching available as soon as possible. This rapid sharing helps prevent the duplication of efforts, especially new information that is current, topical or still under development. Others may be able to contribute to our efforts by improving or adapting your work. Instead of burdening a mailing list with multiple attachments, uploading content here allows a simple link or resource locator to be published. How do we upload items? To upload any work you will need to become a registered user of this website. You will be asked to complete a web form with some simple questions about your work to help identify the nature of the licence that you give for others to share, attribute and use your material. You will then be prompted to attach the file to upload. You can still later update this file that you upload and amend the details. If you have a collection of files that must all be used together, it is better to compress them into a single zip-file to upload and download. Your contribution might prompt some e-mail or web based discussions that you can directly respond to and manage. This is just part of being a member of a dynamic online community! Before you upload any items. Please quickly check if the material that you are posting might not have already been uploaded. It is not practical for us to verify the original author or origin of all the material uploaded. If you think that your version is more current or you are pleased with your adaptation, then upload it anyway. Please use proper capitalization and spelling. (Don't use CAPSLOCK). If possible, paste your description from a word processing document so you can check for spelling and other errors first. What licence do we have to share? The Creative Commons Attribution - Non Commercial - Share Alike License gives you considerable freedom to use, reuse, and distribute content from this website for non-commercial purposes. In return, the license requires that you acknowledge the author(s) of the content you have used by providing proper attribution. You will be asked to select a licence when uploading your resource. Please acknowledge the original author and any changes you have made. Sometimes it is not easy to identify the origin of materials you are uploading. In this case it is appropriate to indicate that the original author is unknown. | |||
